Bandits Kill Nine Persons, Abduct Many In Fresh Attack In Katsina Communities

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani bandits have attacked two communities in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.  According to Katsina Post, the communities attacked are Tsauwa and Gandu. The newspaper reported that no fewer than nine persons have been killed by the bandits while numerous others were left injured and many more kidnapped. Recall that Tsauwa Village was ransacked by bandits months ago in a revenge attack. Killings and kidnapping for ransom have continued in Katsina despite security reinforcement in the state. Locals said the bandits had earlier threatened to attack the community through an open letter, which made the villagers to invite vigilante officials for protection. They said the bandits on arrival, shot sporadically, overpowered the vigilante officials and killed the victims on the spot. The hoodlums also injured many other residents during the deadly invasion and rustled unspecified number of animals.

US President Trump, first lady Melania test positive for Covid-19.

US President Donald Trump and first lady Melania have tested positive for Coronavirus and will go in to quarantine, the US President tweeted late on Thursday evening hours after one of his most senior Advisers, Hope Hicks, was reportedly to have contracted the infection. Hicks had travelled with the President on multiple trips this week including abroad Marine One, the Presidential helicopter and Air force One. It isn't immediately clear how Trump contracted the virus that has infected over 7 million Americans and killed more than 200,000.  Trump announced his health status on Twitter, saying they will "begin quarantine and recovery process immediately.   It was in January, 2020, a white woman from America came to Kano, Nigeria to meet a 23 year old boy she met on social media.  The young boy goes by the name Isah Suleman born in Panshekara area of Kano state. He is 23 year of age and currently studying Geography at Yusuf Maitama University, Kano, Nigeria.  Janine is said to be 47 years old business woman living in America.  Suleman met Janine Ann Reimann on Instagram while someone is trying to scam her but with Suleman intervention, she escaped from the hand of the scammer.  That's where the relationship started in which she flown to Nigeria to meet the young boy and planned to married  him.  When she arrived in Kano, Suleman took his white woman for excursion- They visited many places together in the city of Kano state. Breaking News : 36 State Governors Drag President Muhammadu Buhari To Supreme Court.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been dragged to Supreme Court by thirty-six state governors (36) over his Presidential Executive Order No. 00-10 of 2020 sign in May, 2020. The state averred that the Executive Order Buhari signed had pushed the Federal Government's responsibility of funding both the capital and recurrent expenditures of the state high Court, Sharia Court of Appeal and Customary Court of Appeal, to the state governments.  They equally argued that except paying the salaries  of judicial officers of the above mentioned Courts, Buhari had since 5th May, 2009, abandoned his responsibility of funding the capital and recurrent expenditure of the respective Courts.  "Since the 5th of May 2009, the defendant had not funded the capital and recurrent expenditures of the state high Court, Sharia Court of Appeal and the Customary Court of Appeal of the Plaintiff's States, apart from paying only the salaries of the  judicial officers of the said Courts. 15 Security Officials Killed As Boko Haram Attacks Borno Govt's Convoy.

Some soldiers and policemen were killed after Boko Haram insurgents ambushed a convoy of government officials in Borno. A Convoy conveying officials of the Borno State Government has been attacked near Monguno town.  The officials were ambushed by Boko Haram terrorists on Friday while they were journeying to Baga, where Governor Babagana Zulum is expected to receive returning IDPs.  It is still uncertain what the real casualty figure is, but at least fifteen security men might have been kill in the ambush.  It was, however, gathered that the casualties include both police, military personnel, and an unspecified number of civilians.  An Armoured Personnel Carrier  belonging to the police as well as state government vehicles were reportedly hijacked in the attack.   Governor Babagana Zulum had flown in an Airforce chopper  to Baga, where he performed the Friday prayers with troops.  The governor is expected to receive about three thousand civilians who will be transported  from IDP camps

 Nigerian government asks schools to prepare for resumption.  The Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 said this on Thursday when they delineate the new guidelines for the third phase of ease lockdown on the country. Government also extend the nationwide curfew that has already been in place in the country for months now to 12am-4am.  Meanwhile, this restriction isn't actionable to essential workers and those that just returned from overseas.  Here are the Junctures from Presidential Task Force . TWO DEAD , ONE MISSING IN LAGOS BOAT MISFORTUNE

Two persons have been confirmed dead, One missing, Four rescued in a boat misfortune which occurred on Monday around Offin Ibeshe, Ikorodu area of Lagos state , Nigeria.  The General Manager of Lagos State Waterways Authority, Oluwadamilola Emmanuel substantiated this in a statement, saying that the victims were going to a relative's  funeral.  He said the Fishing Boat was carrying Seven Passengers., Five adults including the boat captain and two toddlers., when the incident occurred.  The boat from Makoko community capsized in to Lagos lagoon while heading to Offin area in Ikorodu., he stated.  He also stated that, the cause of the accident was the rough water current recorded around the area.  This pathetic incident occurred about 7pm
